What is a Conservancy?
Fundamentally, conservancies are about doing something in your own area or community. A conservancy is the entry-level to community-based conservation.
The object of the Conservancy is:
to maintain, improve, promote and protect the acres of parkland and waterfront area of Bay Ridge, from the Verrazano Bridge to and including Owl’s Head Park including American Veterans Memorial Pier (69th St Pier), for the enjoyment of the public by coordinating the efforts of government agencies and volunteers and securing public and private funding.
